Introduction
What equipment and software is used by the modern DJ such as turntables, mixers, laptops and headphones.

Music structure
Learn to count beats and bars and their relevance to mixing

Beat matching
How to beat match, cueing and synchronizing two basic rhythms/beats together.

Mixing techniques
Blend one record into another in one seamless motion, using the faders, equalisers and filters

Effects
Making your set sound professional by using kill switches and applying effects such as reverb’s and phasers

Mix CD production
Record and edit a mastered mix of your dj set using editing software such as Sony Soundforge

Q: If i have never DJ’d before,how many lessons would i need?
A: This would all depend on the individual, weather complete beginners or just looking to enhance you existing skills. We have students that just want to learn to count beats and bars and their relevance to mixing. How to beat match, cue and synchronize two basic rhythms/beats together- To DJ’s that want to learn every thing there is to know about DJ’ing.

Q: Can i pay in instalments?
A: Unfortunately we are unable to offer payment plans at present. All lessons’ are usually booked into hourly slots

Q: Is the studio difficult to get to?
A: No, the student can be picked up from their home/train/bus station 2 mile radios of Islington N5 north London.

Q: Do i need my own records/cd’s?
A: Best to bring your own preferred choice of music whether vinyl or cd’s. I have a wide range of different music genres for you to select if not: UK Garage, Funky/Urban, Electro, House, HIP-HOP R&B, Commercial chart. Also playing 60s,70s,80,90s.
